Our coaching approach is based on a transformational
model. Transformational coaching seeks to go beyond helping people
perform better to getting to the source of behavioral patterns and
empowering people to create a shift in context or point of view

coaching process is results driven, joint accountability is built

Our corporate coaching process is tailored to the
unique needs of our clients. It involves 5 key steps:

Contracting.
The contracting step serves to define the client’s
organizational objectives as well as individual expectations of
those involved in the coaching effort before a coaching program
is initiated. Confidentiality boundaries are also defined as
well as milestones, timelines, and financial arrangements.
The nature and
duration of our coaching services are strictly driven by our
client’s needs and the specific professional and organizational
goals they are attempting to achieve. We work with each client
to define their needs and expectations and design a coaching
arrangement that best suits these requirements.

Assessment.
Coaching clients are seeking to close the gap between where they
are and where they want to be. Our assessment goal is to
determine the client’s readiness and commitment to change.
Coaching is only effective if the client wants to change. HD
offers a number of qualitative and quantitative assessment
methods. Qualitatively, we have found that face-to-face
interviews as well as shadowing are the best way to understand
the challenges faced by the client. We also employ one or more of our validated and
researched assessment products to supplement our qualitative
feedback. The outcome is to target specific outcomes to be
achieved through coaching.

Action Planning.
Because people
do not change simply because they want to, there must be a plan
in place.
Assessment results are shared with the client
with the purpose of defining areas relevant to the client’s
success that can be improved through coaching. An action plan
with key milestones is developed, identifying specific action
steps or interventions that are needed to bring about the
desired change.

Integration.
The goal of
this step is to guide and support clients in implementing their
action plans. Typically this support is given through a series
of monthly on-site meetings or telephone coaching sessions. It
also can involve ongoing feedback regarding progress toward
desired outcomes, relapse prevention support, shadowing, and
just-in-time coaching.

Evaluation. The ultimate goal of coaching is to help clients close the gap
between where they are and where they want to be. Within 3 to
6 months, an abridged follow-up assessment is conducted to
assess the impact of the coaching process on the individual
and/or the organization. This enables us to determine progress
and assist the coachee in refining the action plan as needed.
